    • ​ Online counseling is just like therapy in person, except that you talk to your therapist through a platform like Skype. Instead of Skype, your therapist uses a platform that is secure, encrypted and HIPAA compliant. You can speak to the therapist from the comfort of your own home, without the inconvenience of driving anywhere. The technical term for this is tele-mental health.
